Its time again...the monthly patchworking newsletter has arrived (and it is action packed)!
In conjunction with two fantastic new ranges, Kids Korner and the Christmas Range, we have an excellent free project kindly provided by our newest supplier Kookaburra Cottage. You will find a great new Moroccan Chicken recipe from Kylie, the monthly membership winner and some tips on Fusible Machine Appliqué from Josette who is a member of our Quilt Board. There is also a feature article on the heritage of American quilting bee’s from Annie, another Quilt Board member and some great polls and giveaways!
Next month we will be launching a unique Australian designer who has a niche range based on an iconic English 19th Century artist – so keep an eye out in November! Can anyone guess who it is?
In the pipeline is also the Video Library which is being expanded with some great new tutorials on the way.

Kookaburra Cottage has kindly supplied us our free project this month (previously known as the Chook Shed). Majella & Sean have provided a fantastic NOEL Wallhanging (17”x34” or 44cm x 72cm). It is a great way to use up some scraps while creating a fun, festive piece for your wall or sofa. Remember to send in photos of your finished piece so we can show your work in the next newsletter!

Fusible machine applique is fast and fun, but it has one major drawback. All too often when it is completed it is stiff rather than soft and pliable. This occurs because the fusible material is stiff. The solution is to remove as much of the fusible material as possible. This tutorial will take you through the necessary steps to create soft, pliable machine applique.

This is a great summer dish with some great flavours and the best thing is it's so quick and easy!
