~ How to Create a Great Quilting Workspace ~
(07-Sep-2009)
By Glyn MurphyA second hand table tennis table makes a great working space for all your sewing requirements. Set it up in a spare room, garage, sunroom or your sewing room so you can leave your work spread out to return to. It is easy to walk around but large enough to hold even your biggest creations!
The height is fantastic and means no more rummaging around on the floor. You also no longer have to worry about pins marking your good dining table or bench top. You can even use a chair with wheels to move yourself around the edge.
Pick one up at an online auction, second hand outlet or garage sale. It has made my time sewing so much more enjoyable!
This tip was provided by Glyn Murphy from Queensland, Australia. Glyn has been quilting since 2006 and has only just joined the Patchwork Interactive community after she was sent the newsletter by her daughter, Bec. She says quilting is her form of relaxation and loves creating special pieces for her family and friends. Glyn gets satisfaction from seeing each piece finished and her favourite element is working on her hand applique while sitting on the couch with her husband, Jim.
