Here are some short cuts using the windows logo key usually found on the bottom left of the keyboard: Windows Logo: Start menu is revealed
Windows Logo+M: Minimize all open windows
SHIFT+Windows Logo+M: Undo minimize all
Windows Logo+D: Minimizes all open windows so the desktop is revealed
Windows Logo+F1: Help
Windows Logo+E: Windows Explorer is displayed
Windows Logo+F: Search for files or folders
Short cuts while applications are open (such as Word):
CTRL+C: Copy
CTRL+V: Paste
CTRL+X: Cut
CTRL+Z: Undo last action (I made a mistake!)
CTRL+B: Types text in Bold
CTRL+U: Underlines the text as you write
CTRL+I: Types text in Italic
CTRL+Z: Undo the last command
CTRL+A: Select all the items in the current window
Now here's a handy trick for those of you that own a mouse with a wheel. If you are at a web page and find the text too small simply hold down the CTRL key and roll the mouse wheel. 'Hey presto' the text changes size.
